Shawl Mimosa – Free Crochet Pattern

Materials

-3 balls Phil Looping Phildar color Colza, or worsted yarn (1 ball: 100gr / 3.5oz,163m/64 iches, 80% acrylique – 20% yarn)

-Crochet hook n° 7  and n °5  (only for the last row)

-Tapestry needle

Dimensions

Length: 190 cm / 74,8 inches approx.

Height: 50 cm / 19,6 inches approx.

Gauge

It’s not really important for this pattern.

You will need one or two sizes bigger of the crochet hook recommended with your yarn. (It depends on how you crochet if it’s a bit loose or normal: one size bigger, too tight: two sizes bigger).

Stitches used

Chain – ch

Stich(es) – st(s)

Slip stitch – sl st

Single crochet- sc

Double crochet – dc

Motif – 2 dc 1 ch 2 dc in the same st

Notes 

The Shawl Mimosa , has a triangular shape worked in rows from the bottom up. It has increases at the beginning and the end of each row, repeating the same motif along the whole work.

*The motif that will be repeating is: 2 dc, 1 ch and 2 dc worked in the same stitch. *

Pattern

The first 3 ch of each row count as the first dc.

Start with a magic circle.

Row 1 : 3ch 2dc 1ch and 3dc, close the circle and turn your work.

Row 2 : 3ch 1dc 1ch and 2dc in the first st (the last dc bellow), skip the next two sts and make 1sc in the 1ch space, skip the next two sts and make 1 motif in the last st. Turn.

Row 3:  3ch 1dc 1ch and 2dc in the first st, skip the two sts and make 1sc in the space of 1ch, skip two sts and 1 motif in the next st, skip two sts and 1sc in next 1ch space,  1 motif in the last st (3rd ch) to finish the row. Turn.

Row 4- 35: repeat Row 3.

[At the beginning of each row, you start making: 3ch 1dc 1ch and 2dc in the first st, *1sc in the next and every 1ch space, 1 motif in the next and every sc of the row bellow*, you will repeat this sequence until the last 1ch space, finish every row making 1 motif in the 3rd ch from the beg of the row bellow.]

Change to crochet hook n° 5 ( or one or two sizes smaller than the one you’re using)

—Finishing the last row—

Row 36 :  2 ch, 2 dc finished together (starting from the second ch) 2 ch, 1 sc in the next space of 1ch, * 2 ch, in the next 5 sts make 5 dc finished together, 2 ch, 1sc in the next 1ch space *, repeat from * to * until the last 1ch space, finish the row with 2ch and 2dc finished together. Cut the yarn and hide it between the stitches.

Optional: If you have some yarn left you can make some tassels or pompom to add them in the edges.

Crochet 7mm et 5mm  (pour le dernier rang)

Échantillon

Ce ne pas important pour ce patron. Par contre, il faut utiliser un ou deux numéros de crochet plus grand de cel qui est recommandé avec la laine que vous avez choisi. Par exemple: si vous crochetez un peu lâche ou normal vous allez prendre une taille plus, mais si vous crochetez trop serré je vous conseille de prendre deux tailles plus.

Notes 

Le Châle Mimosa a une forme triangulaire avec deux côtés plus large, crocheté en rangs de bas en haut, on fait deux augmentations au début et à la fin de chaque rang. On fait les mêmes répétions depuis le deuxième rang.

Le motif est une variation du point en éventail:  2 br, 1 ma et 2 br faites dans la même maille.*

Patron

Les trois mailles en l’air (ma) de chaque début du rang compte comme la premier br.

Commencez avec un cercle magique

Rang 1 : 3 ma 2 br 1 ma et 3 br, fermez le cercle et tournez.

Rang 2 : 3 ma, puis dans la premier maille 1 br 1 ma et 2 br ( dans la dernier br du rang précédent), sautez deux mailles et faites 1 ms dans l’espace de 1ma, sauter deux mailles et faites 1 motif dans la dernière maille du rang, tournez.

Rang 3 : 3 ma, 1 br 1 ma et 2 br dans la premier maille, sauter deux mailles et faites 1 ms dans l’espace de 1ma, sauter deux mailles et faites 1 motif dans la maille suivante, sautez deux mailles et faites 1ms dans l'espace de 1ma, sauter la maille suivante et faites 1 motif dans la dernière maille du rang, tournez.

Rang 4- 35: répéter le 3 ème rang. À partir d'ici, on continue la même série

[À chaque début du rang: 3 ma puis 1 br 1 ma et 2 br dans la premier maille, après *faites 1 ms dans chaque espace de 1 ma, 1 motif sur la troisième maille après  (la ms du rang précédant*, répéter dès * à * jusqu'à le dernier espace 1ma, puis finissez chaque rang avec un  motif dans la dernière maille (qui est toujours la 3ème ma du début du rang précédent )  ] Pour mieux comprendre je vous laisse un petit graphic. 

-- Le dernier rang --

Avec le crochet n° 5 ( 1 ou 2 tailles du crochet plus petit que vous avez utilisé)

Rang 36 :  2 ma, dans les deux premières maillesl faire 2 br rabattues ensemble puis 2 ma, 1 ms dans l’espace de 1ma, * 2 ma, dans les 5 mailles suivantes faites 5 br rabattues ensembles puis 2 ma, 1 ms dans l’espace de 1 ma *, répéter  dès * à * jusqu’à le dernier espace de 1 ma, finir le rang avec 2 ma et 2 br rabattues ensembles. Coupez le fil et cachez le entre les mailles. 

Optional: S'il vous reste un peu de laine, vous pouvez faire des pompoms ou tassels pour décorer votre châle.
